Cruel and beautiful

5 hours (2013) Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch - Paint Tool SAI

This was something I drew last summer but I completely forgot about it, and since I don't have much to submit these days because of the lack of time, I decided to submit it. I did it to practice with mixtures of two/three simple colours, and even though I don't dislike the result, I'm not glad about it neither. I know that the left arm is too thin, and the pose is really static and unexpresive, and her right foot seems broken and her hands are too small, but hey, I'm still learning. 

About what's in the picture, she's Mikasa from SnK, and everybody who's seen it will understand the title. I thought that it was ironic, because it can apply both to the world and to her, and when that hit me I decided to draw her. She's not my favourite character, but I kinda understand her and I admire her strength and will. She's a fighter and a survivor, and I respect her for that.
